The Oranjedag Heelsum Association organizes the annual Airborne Remembrance at the Airborne Monument at the intersection of Bennekomseweg and Utrechtseweg in Heelsum. This commemoration is preceded by a service in the Chapel on the Hill. The sounds of the bagpipe will be heard there, and this service starts at 6:00 PM and is conducted by the Interchurch Working Group Renkum/Heelsum (IKW). After the service, there will be a silent march towards the Monument where the program for the Airborne Remembrance will start at 7:00 PM. Pegasus Pipes & Drums, together with Heelsums Harmonie, will provide the musical accompaniment for the commemoration.
